Overview
AceCam® Golf ("AceCam," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AceCam Wallet — a closed-loop digital wallet that allows users to deposit funds, enter skill-based golf contests and challenges, receive prize winnings, and withdraw available balances. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and how they are processed.
AceCam supports two distinct categories of activity, and the refund rules differ depending on which category applies:
- Host Course Contests: Contests offered, funded, and administered by a partnered golf course (the "Host Course"), with AceCam providing the technology platform, verification tools, and the AceCam Wallet rail.
- AceCam-Operated Contests and Challenges: Skill-based activities operated by AceCam — including the Hole-in-One Jackpot, AceCam-Operated Closest-to-the-Pin Contests, Longest Drive Contests, simulator variants, AceCam Challenges (Player vs. AceCam), and Player vs. Player Challenges.
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Rules of Play, and Privacy Policy.
1. Wallet Deposits and Funding
Funds deposited into your AceCam Wallet are generally non-refundable as a return to your original funding source. The AceCam Wallet is a closed-loop balance held for use on the platform; unused balances may be withdrawn through the cashout process described in Section 4 below.
Deposits may be funded through the payment rails that AceCam makes available, which currently include Venmo and (where available) bank-linked ACH through our payment partners. Specific rail availability, funding limits, and applicable fees are disclosed at the time of deposit and may change from time to time as our payment processor relationships evolve. See the AceCam Wallet section of our Terms of Service for the full Wallet terms, including limits and processor disclosures.
If you believe a deposit was made in error or was unauthorized, please contact us immediately at support@acecamgolf.com. We will review unauthorized deposit claims on a case-by-case basis in accordance with Section 6 below.
2. Refunds by Contest and Challenge Type
The terminology and refund treatment differ across the contest and challenge types AceCam supports. In general:
- An Entry Fee is paid to enter a contest in which AceCam or a Host Course awards a published, fixed prize for a measurable skill outcome.
- A Service Feeis paid to AceCam for AceCam's verification, evidence-capture, administration, and platform services associated with a challenge.
- A Challenge Stakeis an amount each participant in a Player vs. Player Challenge contributes toward the combined prize awarded to the Challenge's winner.
The subsections below describe how refunds are handled for each category.
2.1 Host Course Contests
Entry Fees for Host Course Contests are generally non-refundableonce a user has entered. Refunds will be issued to the participant's AceCam Wallet in the following circumstances:
- Weather cancellation: If a contest is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions that prevent safe or fair play, Entry Fees for that contest are refunded automatically.
- Host Course cancellation: If the Host Course cancels a contest for any reason, Entry Fees are refunded automatically.
- Platform or verification failure: If AceCam's evidence-capture or scoring infrastructure cannot operate for the contest (e.g., camera equipment offline, scoring system unavailable, or other platform malfunction affecting the contest), Entry Fees are refunded automatically.
Refunds for cancelled Host Course Contests are credited back to the participant's AceCam Wallet, and the participant receives a notification when the refund is applied.
2.2 AceCam-Operated Contests
This includes the Hole-in-One Jackpot, AceCam-Operated Closest-to-the-Pin Contests, Longest Drive Contests, and simulator variants of the foregoing where AceCam (rather than a Host Course) is the contest operator.
Entry Fees and applicable Service Fees for AceCam-Operated Contests are generally non-refundableonce a user has entered. Refunds will be issued to the participant's AceCam Wallet in the following circumstances:
- Contest cancellation by AceCam: If AceCam cancels or voids a contest for operational, safety, weather, regulatory, or integrity reasons before the contest is resolved, Entry Fees are refunded.
- Equipment or simulator malfunction: Where AceCam's equipment, simulator, or verification infrastructure malfunctions during a participant's attempt, AceCam may, in its discretion as described in the Rules of Play, void the entry and refund the Entry Fee, or permit a re-entry at no additional charge.
- Published-prize error: Where a published prize value or contest parameter was materially incorrect at the time of entry, AceCam may, in its discretion, void affected entries and refund the corresponding Entry Fees.
2.3 AceCam Challenges (Player vs. AceCam)
AceCam Challenges include the Birdie Bonus, Hit-the-Green, and Putting Challenge, among others. In these challenges, the user pays a Service Fee for AceCam's verification and administration services, and AceCam pays a published prize if the user achieves the measurable skill outcome.
Service Fees for AceCam Challenges are non-refundableonce the challenge attempt has been initiated and the verification service has been rendered. Refunds will be issued to the participant's AceCam Wallet only where the verification service could not be rendered — for example, where AceCam's evidence-capture or scoring infrastructure failed during the attempt, or where AceCam cancelled the challenge before the attempt could be made.
2.4 Player vs. Player Challenges
In a Player vs. Player Challenge, each participating player pays a separate Service Fee to AceCam for AceCam's verification, administration, and escrow services, and each player contributes a Challenge Stake of equal value. The combined Challenge Stakes are awarded to the Challenge's winner.
Service Feesin a Player vs. Player Challenge are non-refundable once both players have matched into the Challenge and AceCam has committed verification capacity to it. Refunds will be issued to a participant's AceCam Wallet only where AceCam cancelled or voided the Challenge before verification capacity was committed, or where AceCam's verification infrastructure failed during the Challenge.
Challenge Stakes are treated separately:
- If a Player vs. Player Challenge completes and is resolved according to the Rules of Play, the combined Challenge Stake is paid to the Challenge's winner and is not subject to refund.
- If a Player vs. Player Challenge is cancelled or voided before it is matched, each player's Challenge Stake is returned to that player's AceCam Wallet.
- If a Player vs. Player Challenge is cancelled or voided after matching but before resolution — for example, because AceCam cannot verify the outcome, the contest window expires without completion, or AceCam exercises its integrity-review discretion — each player's Challenge Stake is returned to that player's AceCam Wallet. The Service Fee treatment in this scenario is as described in the preceding paragraph.
2.5 Scenarios That Do Not Result in a Refund
For clarity, the following scenarios are not refundable, except as expressly provided above or in the Rules of Play:
- Default scores or missed deadlines: Where a participant's submission is recorded as a default score because the participant did not complete or submit a qualifying result within the applicable contest window.
- Cooldowns and pending-score blocks: Where a user is prevented from entering a new contest because they are in a cooldown period, or because a prior result is pending review.
- Voluntary withdrawal from a contest: Where a participant elects not to complete a contest they have entered, except where AceCam has separately permitted withdrawal.
- Self-logged statistics or score-entry mistakes: Where the participant's own stat-logging or score entry produced an outcome the participant did not intend. Participants are responsible for their own submissions; AceCam supports correction of clear data-entry errors via the Rules-of-Play correction process where evidence permits.
3. Prize Winnings
Prize winnings are credited to the winner's AceCam Wallet upon contest or challenge finalization. Prize winnings represent earned awards for measurable skill outcomes and are not subject to refund. Once credited, prize funds are available for use in future contests and challenges, or for withdrawal through the cashout process described in Section 4 below.
Prize winnings may be subject to tax reporting where required by applicable law. See our Terms of Service for additional information on tax reporting thresholds and winner-information requirements.
4. Cashouts and Withdrawals
Users may withdraw available AceCam Wallet balances by initiating a cashout through the platform. Cashouts are processed through the payout rails that AceCam makes available, which currently include Venmo and (where available) bank-linked ACH through our payment partners.
- Processing time: Cashout processing time depends on the payout rail used and the receiving financial institution. ACH cashouts typically settle in 3–5 business days; Venmo cashouts typically settle substantially faster, subject to the recipient's Venmo account configuration.
- Per-transaction and per-period limits: Cashouts are subject to minimum and maximum per-transaction limits, and to daily, weekly, and monthly cumulative limits, as disclosed at the time of withdrawal and as further described in the AceCam Wallet section of our Terms of Service.
- Same-account-only enforcement: For anti-fraud and compliance reasons, cashouts may be required to return to the same payment instrument used to fund the AceCam Wallet.
- Fees: AceCam may deduct applicable processing fees from the cashout amount, as disclosed at the time of withdrawal.
Once a cashout has been submitted for processing, it cannot be reversed by the user. If a cashout fails or is returned by the receiving financial institution or payment partner, the funds are credited back to the user's AceCam Wallet, and the user is notified.
5. Compliance Holds and Reviews
AceCam operates a risk and compliance program that includes identity verification, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and enhanced due diligence procedures. As described in our Terms of Service, AceCam may delay, hold, suspend, decline, or reverse transactions — including deposits, cashouts, and prize credits — where required or appropriate to satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, or compliance obligations, or to investigate suspected fraud, unauthorized access, or violations of our terms or rules.
A transaction that is held, delayed, or declined under these procedures is not, on that basis alone, eligible for a refund; the funds are typically held in the AceCam Wallet pending review and become available, refundable, or reversible only as the review concludes. AceCam will communicate with the affected user as appropriate and as permitted by law.
6. Disputed and Unauthorized Charges
If you believe a charge was made in error or without your authorization, please contact us within 60 days of the transaction at support@acecamgolf.com. We will investigate disputed charges and, if warranted, issue a refund to your AceCam Wallet or, where appropriate, to the original payment method.
To expedite the review process, please include the following in your dispute:
- Your account username or registered phone number
- The date and amount of the transaction
- A description of why you believe the charge is incorrect
- Any supporting context (e.g., contest ID, challenge ID, or cashout reference) that would help us locate the transaction
Disputes raised with your bank, card issuer, or payment partner are separately governed by that institution's dispute procedures and applicable law. AceCam cooperates with those procedures and may pause related AceCam activity (including cashouts and contest entries) while a third-party dispute is under review.
7. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the AceCam app or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
